St. Joseph’s has been made aware that drinking water from the Passaic Valley Water Commission – which includes Passaic, Paterson, and parts of Clifton – may not be safe for consumption, due to the impact of Hurricane Ida. Effective immediately, do not drink the water or use the ice dispensers.
The Passaic Valley Water Commission has issued a boil water advisory, which will remain in effect until repairs are completed and testing shows the water to be safe. The anticipated date for restoration is Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Until further notice, do not drink the water or use the ice dispensers.
Our Maintenance Team is disconnecting water and ice machines throughout St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, and Food Services has begun distributing bottled water to patient care areas. If your unit requires additional water or bagged ice, please call the Food Services Call Center at 973-754-3663.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide you with updates. Thank you for your ongoing cooperation.
