The National Weather Service has forecasted moderate to heavy snowfall for the area today from 7am through 1pm. Anticipated snowfall rates of 1-2″/hour are possible. Total snowfall is anticipated to be between 5-8″, with 9-11″ possible.
Winds of 15-20mph expected, with gusts of 25-30mph. Whiteout conditions are possible during the heaviest snowfall, visibility reduced to 1/4 mile at times. These conditions may result in hazardous travel, especially during Tuesday’s morning commute.

The Emergency Operation Center (EOC) will serve as the nerve center for real-time monitoring, communication, and decision-making during this storm. Gusty winds of 15-25 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph, are also expected, potentially causing whiteout conditions. These conditions may result in hazardous travel conditions, especially during Tuesday’s morning commute.
