Hospital Campuses Remain Open for Monday, February 1

As the winter storm forecast has progressed, St. Joseph’s has adjusted operations for tomorrow, Monday, February 1.

St. Joseph’s Operations Update

  • All SJUMC, SJWMC, and SJHRC campuses are open for patient care.
    • All staff are expected to report for their scheduled shift.
    • Anticipate longer times for travel – give yourself extra time to get to work. If you prefer arriving ahead of your shift, we will work to find accommodations until your shift starts.
  • For Monday, February 1 – All Ambulatory/Outpatient and Physician Practices (regardless of location) will not have in-person office hours tomorrow.  Telehealth visits will be used, where possible.
  • Non-clinical and back office support teams should work from home, where previously approved by management.
  • Staff requests for pick-ups for overnight accommodations are in effect. For staff pick-ups, dial X3085. For overnight accommodations, call X2244 or X2201.
  • New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has issued a State of Emergency, effective 7:00 p.m. tonight. A commercial travel ban goes into effect at midnight for many interstate roadways in North Jersey. Please note: Roads are all open for hospital staff. All public transit will be suspended, effective midnight tonight.

Forecasters are predicting at least 14 inches of snow in our region, with some areas seeing closer to 20 inches or more.
