Since we began distribution on Friday, December 18, nearly 2,000 frontline clinical and support employees have been vaccinated in what we’re all calling a “shot of hope.” We are pleased to open vaccination to all departments that were categorized as 1A, even if the department was originally scheduled for Week 2.
Due to the holidays and demand, here is the vaccination schedule for the remainder of this week through Sunday, December 27, effective immediately:
- Weekdays – Monday through Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Christmas Eve (Thursday, December 24): 6:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Christmas Day: CLOSED
Because of efficiency at check-in, registration will not take place in the physicians’ lounges. All members of the medical staff should report to check-in at the Main Lobby at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center and in 3AB at St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center.
As a reminder, vaccination is currently for those clinical and support departments that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has categorized as 1A (patient and public-facing employees). With the efficiency of our process, we are pleased to open vaccination to all departments that were categorized as 1A, even if your department was originally scheduled for Week 2. For your convenience, a list of 1A Departments is attached.
If you have questions about your participation in this first phase of vaccination, please speak with your manager/supervisor.
