National Weather Service is tracking a winter storm for Friday night into Saturday. At this time, there is considerable uncertainty in the forecast and snow totals are variable but the system has potential to bring heavy snowfall and high winds. Due to the extreme uncertainty with the forecast, we are preparing to provide overnight accommodations and transportation as per usual guidelines. Please use the information below to request transportation and overnight accommodations. We will continue to monitor for changes in the track of the storm.
Timing – Snow likely after 8:00p.m. Friday through midafternoon on Saturday. At this time, snow totals are uncertain. As the storm continues to develop additional communications may be sent out, if necessary.
SJ Operation Planning:
- Team is working to have overnight sleeping accommodations for staff who wish to stay over. Manager or designee must call patient logistics (x2244 or x2201) (Wayne and Paterson)
- Staff within a 5-mile radius of the hospital can request a pick-up by calling the nursing office Paterson 973-754-3085 or Wayne 973-956-3667, if weather permits. We are encouraging staff to get to work early or stay overnight. (Paterson/Wayne)
- Facilities/Maintenance are prepared and have outside resources supporting our fleet.
Please plan for extra travel time for Saturday morning in light of the impending storm.
