St. Joseph’s Offers Hero Pay to Eligible Employees

To express our gratitude for your continued dedication to caring for our patients and community during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are providing active frontline team members, including supervisors, with a special Hero Pay bonus of $500 as recognition for all you’ve done, and continue to do. The payments, which will be subject to applicable taxes, will be made on Thursday, March 4, by either direct deposit or payroll check.

As the weather gets colder, more than 150 employees will be able to park in the Visitor Garage at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center rather than the O Lot. Any employee hired in 2013 or earlier will be permitted to use the garage – starting on Saturday, December 19, 2020.

Effective immediately, employees on the Paterson and Wayne campuses can order from a Family Menu (meals typically feed 4-6) that includes items such as whole pizzas, meatloaf, and Salisbury steak.

Helping Our Heroes: Employee Relief Fund

Administered through Pastoral Care, the Employee Relief Fund provides a one-time grant for employees experiencing a financial hardship. An employee applies by filling out a form (included below) and accompanied by supporting documents. A committee takes each application under consideration, using criteria including the amount requested, the circumstance and years of experience.
