Visitor Policy Moves to RED— Effective Wednesday, December 29, 2021

As a result of an increase in hospitalized COVID-19 patients, patients under investigation for Covid-19, and virus levels within the community, we have decided to make changes to our Visitor Policy. Visitors Policy Returns to YELLOW — Effective Today, Friday, December 3, 2021

In keeping with the New Jersey statewide standardized visitation policy, the Northern New Jersey region, which includes St. Joseph’s Health, has been elevated to a “Level Yellow” status for all visitors, going into effect today, Friday, December 3, 2021. Although the St. Joseph’s Health COVID-19 positive patient volume continues to remain steady with slight upticks, the change in status is based on the coronavirus risk levels in surrounding communities.

Visitors Policy Moves to GREEN — Effective October 8, 2021

Good news for patients and families! Thanks to the numbers of COVID patients decreasing across our region and throughout the state, St. Joseph’s will shift today back to “Level Green” status for all visitors. The return to “green” is a reflection of the state’s standard visitation policy. Our visiting hours remain 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

New Visitor Policy – Effective Immediately

In collaboration with the New Jersey Hospital Association and hospitals across the state, St. Joseph’s Health is transitioning to a new hospital visitation policy that uses color codes to set standard safety precautions for patients, visitors and staff based on the level of COVID-19 risk. The goal is to balance the importance of visitation for patients and their loved ones with the necessary safety precautions to protect all of us from the spread of coronavirus.
