Here at St. Joseph’s Health, the safety and security of our employees and patients is our top priority.
As you may have seen in media reports, the American Hospital Association and Health-ISAC have alerted hospitals around the country about a potential threat. They are working closely with the FBI to determine credibility, and have shared the alert out of an abundance of caution. While there are no specific threats to our facilities, our Safety & Security and Emergency Management teams are closely monitoring the situation. They have enacted additional security measures throughout our facilities, and are working with external partners for additional support.
For the safety of our patients, visitors, and colleagues, please remain vigilant and keep the following security measures in mind:
- Report Suspicious Activity: If you see something unusual, such as unattended bags, unauthorized individuals in restricted areas, or suspicious behavior, report it immediately to Security (x5555) and to your department leadership.
- Do Not Hold Doors Open: Only allow access to individuals who present a valid St. Joseph’s Health ID badge. Do not hold doors open for others.
- Secure All Access Points: Ensure that doors, offices, and workstations are properly closed and secured when unattended.
- Badge Visibility: Wear your SJH ID badge at all times while on campus to ensure proper identification and security compliance.
Your attentiveness plays a vital role in keeping our facilities safe. If you notice anything concerning or have any security-related questions, please contact Security immediately at x5555. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to maintaining a secure environment for all.
