The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention approved and recommends a “booster” shot of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for healthcare workers to offer the best protection against serious illness. Effective immediately, St. Joseph’s will offer the booster to all employees. The CDC recommends that a booster dose is administered six months after completion of the first vaccination series (two doses of Pfizer).

At this time, only the Pfizer vaccine booster has been approved for all healthcare workers. Moderna and J&J vaccine boosters remain under review by the CDC. We will continue to update you as additional information becomes available.

Where to Get Your Booster:

• St. Joseph’s University Medical Center: Madison/Barclay Rooms, Monday – Friday

7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

• St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center: Employee Health Office, Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays

7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

• St. Joseph’s Healthcare & Rehab Center – On Site for Both Vaccinations, Monday – Friday
• Daily in the Employee Health Office, Clifton, Monday – Friday

8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

What to Bring

To receive a booster, bring your St. Joseph’s Health Identification badge and your vaccine card.

Is a Booster Shot Required?

To fulfill your required COVID-19 vaccination, two doses of Pfizer or Moderna or one dose of J&J is required. The booster is being provided to employees as a recommendation of the CDC.
