Masking Discontinued / COVID-19 Testing Update (Feb 26, 2024)

  • Effective immediately all masking is hereby discontinued within all facilities at SJ Health.
  • Exception to above shall be the usual infectious disease policies for care of respiratory/droplet infectious patients, and those  infectious exposures that require the use of masks which include but are not limited to COVID-19.
  • As prior, all employees, medical providers, visitors, and vendors are requested to mask to their personal comfort level.
  • Visitor masking is no longer required.  Visitors are once again asked to refrain from visiting if experiencing upper respiratory infections/symptoms.
  • Patient treatment areas where patients may have immunocompromised states may request specific visitor exceptions and require masking for the well being of patients.
  • Please continue meticulous handwashing /disinfecting as prior.

COVID-19 TESTING:

ALL PATIENTS ADMITTED TO THE FACILITIES OR STAYING OVERNIGHT FOR OPERATIVE/INTERVENTIONAL RECOVERY OR OBSERVATION SERVICES SHALL CONTINUE TO REQUIRE COVID-19 TESTING UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
