Based on HHS and FDA recommendations, Bamlanivimab monotherapy should NOT be offered for COVID positive patients with mild to moderate disease. Due to variants, combination therapy of bamlanivimab and etesevimab should be offered. For now, St. Joseph’s will not offer Bamlanivimab monotherapy until we are able to obtain etesevimab.
St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson and St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center anticipate receiving etesevimab within the week. Please do not send your patients to the Emergency Department at this time to receive monoclonal antibody until we have both bamlanivimab and etesevimab available.
Please call 973-754-3032 if you have any questions.
