Thank you for the wonderful response in booking appointments for immediate family members to receive their COVID-19 vaccinations. Not only does this allow us to provide vaccine to the community, but also helps St. Joseph’s to test our processes for when we are able to open a community vaccination center.

As we have moved through the process over the last few days, here are important issues to note:

• Effective immediately, employees are to go to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center to receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center site in Meyer Conference Room will be open for family members only. If an employee has already received a first dose in Wayne, you must receive your second dose on the Wayne campus, as well. This does not impact families receiving their vaccination at the Marshall Street location.
• Please advise your family members to arrive no earlier than five minutes before their scheduled appointment time. We have designated time slots to maintain social distancing; arriving early leads to crowds forming.
• Employees should only be scheduling for immediate family members who live in New Jersey. The exception is for employees who live out of state. In that case, the employee may also book for a family member who lives in the employee’s household.
• Reminder: only book one immediate family member appointment per week.
