As COVID-19 hospitalized cases continue to decrease across St. Joseph’s Health, we are pleased to announce that we will fully open visitation to all COVID-negative patients. Beginning on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, all visitor restrictions will be lifted for non-COVID patients to allow up to two visitors per patient from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. at both St. Joseph’s University Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center. Pediatric patients are permitted two visitors, in addition to their parents or legal guardians.
Visitors must wear a face mask at all times and check in at the reception area in the Main Lobby of each facility. Visitors must be over age 12, unless under special circumstances.
Since the COVID surge in Fall 2020, St. Joseph’s adopted a color-coded hospital visitation guide, which is in use throughout New Jersey’s hospitals. All regions in New Jersey are now in level green, which signals a loosening of visitor restrictions. We recognize the importance to patients of having their loved ones physically present for emotional support, and we’re thrilled to welcome visitors back into our hospitals. Thank you for your ongoing cooperation and for helping to spread the word to our patients and visitors
