St. Joseph’s Welcomes Limited Visitation – Starting on Thursday, Feb. 18

As St. Joseph’s Health continues to see a steady decline in patients hospitalized with COVID-19, we are excited to announce that we will reopen our Paterson and Wayne campuses to limited visitors, effective Thursday, February 18, 2021.

During the pandemic, St. Joseph’s transitioned to a new hospital visitation policy that sets standard safety precautions for patients, visitors, and staff based on the level of COIVD-19 risk. This policy assigns three color levels — red, yellow or green — to hospitals based on factors such as level of hospitalizations, number of COVID-positive patients and staffing.

This week we will be reinstating “Level Yellow,” allowing each COVID-negative patient one visitor over the age of 18, per day unless otherwise approved ahead of time. Once approved, all visitors must undergo a temperature screening and adhere to all social distancing guidelines. No visitors will be permitted for COVID-positive patients. The flyer attached outlines the new policy and exemptions.

Please note that employees who have been parking in the main visitor garage must return to the O Lot to allow space for visitors.
