As a result of an increase in hospitalized COVID-19 patients, patients under investigation for Covid-19, and virus levels within the community, we have decided to make changes to our Visitor Policy. Effective Wednesday, December 29, 2021, St. Joseph’s is restricting visitation across all of our hospitals, nursing and rehabilitation facilities.
NEW VISITOR POLICY RESTRICTIONS ARE:
• St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, Paterson (including Emergency Department): No visitors
• St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center, Wayne (including Emergency Department): No visitors
• St. Joseph’s Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Cedar Grove: No visitors
• Outpatient/Physician Practices: No visitors
VISITATION EXCEPTIONS MAY BE MADE IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS, INCLUDING:
• End of Life Compassion Visit: One visitor, brief visit
• St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital: One parent or guardian
• Ambulatory Care/Same Day Surgery: One visitor to drop off and pick up patient
• Maternity/Labor and Delivery: One visitor
• Developmental and Cognitive Disabled: One visitor
• For Patients that are Being Discharged: One visitor at discharge for bedside instruction
