A Message from Sr. Marilyn Thie

March 30, 2020

To Our St. Joseph’s Family, As Chair of the St. Joseph Health Board of Trustees, I want to express our gratitude for your continued dedication to caring for our patients during this COVID-19 epidemic. No matter your role – on the clinical frontlines or serving in a support area – from doctors, nurses, and technicians right through to transport, housekeeping, and security (and everyone in between) – you are ALL assisting, caring and healing our community, helping them to embrace peacefully the next steps they and their loved ones face.As you go through the days ahead, facing enormous challenges and difficulties, we want you to know how appreciated your work is to all of us. You may feel you contribute only in a small way during this crisis, but in our eyes, every one of you is a Hero! You are living the Mission of St. Joseph’s, perhaps more meaningfully and dramatically than any of us can recall in recent times. Your actions exemplify the true meaning of our Mission: to provide exceptional quality care… which sustains and improves both individual and community health…with a special concern for those who are poor, vulnerable and underserved. Please know that each of you, along with our patients, is remembered in our daily prayers. Our hope is that you will stay healthy as you live your personal and collective commitments to St. Joseph’s Health and our shared Mission to serve others. On behalf of the Board of Trustees… our sincerest thank you.

Gratefully,
Sister Marilyn Thie, SC Chair, St. Joseph’s Health Board of Trustees
